Why Focus on Reading?

• READING-  proficiency is essential across all subjects, including math, science, and social studies. A strong foundation in reading enables children to comprehend and engage with diverse content.

• READING FLUENCY- impacts comprehension in Science, Social Studies, Math, and Communication.

• Critical Development Period- Ages 7-9 are a pivotal time for reading development. This is when children transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." Struggling at this stage can hinder their ability to absorb new material.

•  Improves Cognitive Development- Reading enhances vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking. It fosters the ability to process complex ideas and improves memory and focus.
